St.Kitts-Nevis Captain Atiba Harris Leads FC Dallas To Win in MLS Action

February 29th, 2016 (FC Dallas):- FC Dallas wrapped up their preseason play on Saturday night with a 2-1 win over USL affiliate OKC Energy FC. The MLS side got two first half goals from St.Kitts-Nevis International  Atiba Harris and unsigned draft pick Timo Pitter to earn the win in their final preseason game.

FC Dallas opened the scoring in the fifth minute when Tesho Akindele got the ball near the top of the penalty box. The former Rookie of the Year would find a streaking Harris on the right side of the field and the St. Kitts and Nevis native would crack a one-time shot past the OKC keeper.

FCD would double their lead just ten minutes later as newly signed midfielder Mauro Rosales set up the play for the second goal. He would find Harris on the right side of the field again. Harris then would feed the ball forward to the run of Pitter. The German took one touch and then hammered the ball into the back of the net for his sixth goal of the preseason.

OKC got one goal back minutes later in the 27th minute as a shot by Michael Byskov hit off Zach Loyd and found its way into the back of the net.

FCD controlled the majority of this game as they nearly had two more chances in the second half with Akindele and Pitter doing most of the attacking.

Atiba and his FC Dallas  now can shift their focus to the start of the MLS season as they take on the Philadelphia Union at home next Sunday.
