The St. Kitts-Nevis Government’s widely watched Leadership Matters virtual forum series will air Tuesday, October 20th, 2020, with Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris headlining its 25th installment on ZIZ TV (Channel 5 or https://zizonline.com/tv/channel-5/) from 8:00pm to 10:00pm.

Joining the Honourable Prime Minister on the panel and answering audience questions will be Accountant General for the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, Mr. Levi Bradshaw.  The focus of discussion will be the National Budget as an instrument for delivering a stronger and safer future.

Tomorrow, Monday, October 19th, Prime Minister Harris is slated to preside over the first day of the 2021 Budget Estimates Committee Meetings, which are being held in order to finalize the programmes and projects that the Federal Government will be implementing in the new financial year.

The Budget planning meetings will see Prime Minister Harris, who is the Minister of Finance, and his Cabinet colleagues interact with high-level government officials and staff, including Permanent Secretaries, Heads of Departments and other key figures in the budget process, such as Financial Secretary, Mrs. Hilary Hazel and Accountant General, Mr. Levi Bradshaw.

Interactions will focus on considering the budgetary requirements of each Ministry, as well as on allocating and prioritizing government spending in advance of the budget presentation and finalization in the Parliament.  This week’s Estimates Committee Meetings are scheduled to span four days.
