St.Croix, USVI (August 6th 2015):- A man was found dead in a pickup truck parked in the vicinity of a  Fish Market on St. Croix. The St. Croix Police   Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced on Wednesday.According to Jackson, at about 5:52 a.m. on Wednesday, the 911 emergency call center received notification of a white pickup truck found submerged in the sea with the male body on the inside.

Officers responding to the scene confirmed the report and were successful in removing the vehicle from the water, according to Jackson. Ambulance services were also summoned to the scene, where Emergency Medical Technicians examined the male individual and found no signs of life.

Preliminary investigation into the matter reveal no apparent foul play and the case is being investigated as a Dead on Arrival (DOA) pending the results of an autopsy.

The male individual was later identified as Charles Stapleton, 77, of Estate Mon Bijou.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into the matter.
