Basseterre,St.Kitts (February 24th, 2016):- Steadroy Walwyn, the brother of former Police Chief CG Walwyn  and Elaine Cooper were found guilty of Possession of Cocaine following a November 22nd drug bust. .

According to sources, District (A) Resident Magistrate Her Ladyship Josephine Mallalieu found both Walwyn and Cooper guilty today Wednesday 24th February 2016.

Steadroy Walwyn was ordered to pay the sum of $400,000.00 EC Dollars or Serve Four (4) years in prison.  Elaine Cooper was ordered to pay the sum of $100,000.00 EC Dollars or serve four (4) years in prison.

“On Sunday 22nd November 2015 a joint operation commenced at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport and ended with the arrest of three (3) persons at a residence in Buckley’s Site.

A Search Warrant was executed on the premises for possession of controlled drugs, firearms and ammunition. During the search, 1.22 kilos of Cocaine was discovered in a false compartment within a suitcase. All three (3) persons were taken into police custody and are expected to be charged in connection with the incident”.
