CS Global Partners an international, industry-leading, legal advisory firm specializing in citizenship and residence solutions have been engaged by the Government of St.Kitts-Nevis to provide advice, help manage and chart the way forward for the new and improved Citizenship by Investment programme of St.Kitts-Nevis.
According to their website CS Global was born out of a desire to provide robust and reliable answers to questions on investment opportunities raised by today’s international entrepreneurs and global families. CS Global has a physical presence (in over 9 offices) and provides local expertise to clients and partners on matters of investor immigration. CS Global Partners’ strong reputation for expertise and integrity also allowed them to establish a government advisory practice, which involves providing counsel on the successful promotion and development of a number of the world’s most sought-after citizenship and residence programmes now including St.Kitts-Nevis as one of their clients.
The St.Kitts-Nevis CBI Programme was for years regarded as the leading programme of it’s kind in the world. However bad management of the programme by the previous Dr. Denzil Douglas led government resulted in the programme getting a hit when The US treasury Department last year issued advisories about the programme purportedly being used by illicit actors to circumvent US financial regulations and Canada rescinded the visa-free status of St. Kitts and Nevis citizens, also citing concerns about security.
It was revealed recently in a parliamentary sitting by now Prime Minister Dr. The Hon Timothy Harris that the US Government through Secretary of State John Kerry had on a number of occasions written to former PM Douglas about his government’s running of the programme. The Canadian government also gave similar warnings which went unheeded and resulted in the rescinding of their visa-free waiver to SKN Nationals.
The new PM Harris led Team UNITY Administration has been praised for their handling of the programme and it’s vast improvements over the last few months. The engagement of CS Global in providing guidance , advice and management of the programme has been welcomed by local service providers and is lauded as a step in the write direction.
