Kingston , Jamaica (LOOP News February 10th 2016):-  Incumbent Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) candidate for South West St Catherine Everald Warmington has come under fire on social media for ‘rowdy’ photos of celebration following his registration on Nomination Day.

The photos, which see the candidate in suggestive poses behind a female supporter in Old Harbour on Tuesday, were seen by many as inappropriate in a public setting – setting off a whirldwind of comments on Facebook and Twitter.

Warmington was registered as the official candidate for the JLP around 1pm on Tuesday, at the Electoral Offices in Old Harbour.

“There is a child there watching. Not appropriate,” wrote one man in popular Facebook group Politics Time.

“Stop these type of dancing it’s degrading not a good look,” a woman similarly voiced.

“Disgusting leggo beast high official behaviour. Tsk tsl tsk,” another woman said. “See how de labourites slack them better win lol, This is over-jubilant, childish behaviour,” she added.

“What man do, woman cannot do! What if it was Lisa, or Babsy, or Portia dancing with a man in that fashion?” one man aksed.

“That’s the leader you want to represent you? Now look at the picture and tell me what he is telling our young boys and girls? Think smart vote PNP,” he continued.

Others Jamaicans however, stepped up to defend Warmington, saying he is entitled to celebrate with his supporters whichever fashion he so chooses.

One woman asked, “The man nominated and a have a moment with him supporters them, anything wrong with that?”
