Basketball City, St.Kitts (August 18th 2015):-It was a game worthy of an NBA  Finals. Horsford’s Ghetto Roots and St.Peters Runnerz battled to overtime in one of the most exciting games for the 2015 season. The much younger Runnerz came to the game brimming with confidence and excitement as they made their finals berth. They led almost from start to finish. However the leads were chopped down to 1 point advantages at almost every turn. The Ghetto Roots came from 10 down in the3rd quarter to tie the game heading into the final moments of the 4^th quarter. A quick run by Runnerz however took them to a 9 point advantage with some 30 seconds remaining.  Ghetto Roots inserted guard Ketneal Thompson and he along with Levi By By Fyfield gave the Ghetto Roots a second wind when 2 straight 3 pointers by Fyfeild and then a 3 pointer by Browne with no time remaining cut a 9 point lead into a tied game and overtime .

The overtime however was not good to Ghetto Roots as the much younger Runnerz seem to have more in the energy tank than Roots. With key players such as Kiethly Hicks, Jasbo Wattley and Method Jenkins the Ghetto Roots was a much depleted and tired team and simply did not have enough in the tank to outlast the much younger runnerz. The game ended with a 108-98  victory for the young Runnerz Team. Runerz now has a 1-0 lead in the best of 5 series . Game 2 in the Series will be played on Sunday @6:30pm at Basketball City

Leading All Scorers was Runnerz’ Calvin Butterz Wallace with 40 pts while teammates Demaine Rawlins and Joshio Morton supported well with 15 and 25 points respectively.

Jasbo Wattley led Ghetto Roots with 27 pts and 10 rebs with teammates By By Fyfeild and Stacey Hobson Jr with 21 pts and 17 pts respectively
