Brits fed up of the cold winter weather can transport themselves to the Caribbean through the medium of music thanks to a latest campaign, #StKittsShoutOut.

The initiative, given backing by St. Kitts Tourism Authority, brings a taste of St. Kitts to the UK by showcasing its unique music, local people and idyllic scenery that holidaymakers can experience for themselves.

Anyone can dedicate a song to someone, to be performed by award-winning Kittitian steel pan band EBJ Harmonics, over social media.

They simply need to visit St. Kitts Tourism UK Facebook page and comment on the Shout Out video, stating their requested song and who it is dedicated to and why, using #StKittsShoutOut.

Winners will have their chosen song recorded and filmed for them before being uploaded to the Facebook page with their personal shout out.

The teaser and launch campaign videos, which saw the EBJ Harmonics perform Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ at Timothy Hill with stunning views across the Atlantic and Caribbean oceans, achieved a combined total of more than 400,000 impressions.

EBJ Harmonics will visit St. Kitts’ beautiful beaches, mountain scenery and historic sites to record fan’s shout outs.

Video locations include Brimstone Hill, which traces back to the first Western settlements in the region and the lively Frigate Bay beach, home to beachfront bars serving up grilled lobster, Cajun grouper and steamed snapper.

The band will also be recording at former sugar plantation Romney Manor and showcasing St. Kitts’ range of luxury and boutique accommodation.
MJ Byron, of EBJ Harmonics, said: “There’s nothing like the sound of our steel pans to put a smile on your face, rhythm in your feet and warmth in your heart.

“As an island that depends on tourism and visitors from all over the world, the shout out is a great way for us to spread some Kittitian love and spread some good vibes across the planet – just tell us your song and who it’s dedicated to!”
