St.Kitts Sprint Queen Named US Mid-Eastern Conference Athlete of the Week
NORFOLK, Va. (April 20, 2016)- St.Kitts Sprint Queen Shenel Crooke was selected as Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference track performer of the week as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
This is the fourth MEAC performer of the week honor this season for Crooke, who earned the first two awards during the indoor season and was named league performer of the week on April 6.
Crooke, a junior , participated in the J Fred Dockett-Rice Twilight Meet over the weekend in Houston, Texas. Crooke would compete in both the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes and won both events.
She ran a time of 11.79 in the 100m and then set a personal-best time in the 200m, with a time of 24.10.
Crooke and the Lady Bears will be back in action this weekend, when they host the 2016 Legacy Meet (April 22-23) at Hughes Stadium.
