Charlestown, Nevis, January 16, 2018 – The sister islands of St Kitts and Nevis have scored a double win with inclusions in the 2018 travel lists of two top US media sources in the first days of the new year.
CNN listed Nevis among its 18 Best Places to Visit in 2018, saying “Unlike many of its Caribbean neighbors, Nevis was spared damage from Hurricanes Maria and Irma in 2017, which means its elegant white beaches may now experience a deserved uptick in tourists. And even people who think they’ve seen-one-seen-’em-all when it comes to Caribbean islands will look in awe at the quieter, simpler, more connected with nature way of life here.”
Bloomberg Business Week touted St Kitts in its list of Where to Go In 2018 as one of 22 destinations that will be “especially hot” this year. The story states that “St. Kitts has pulled off a beach-escape hat trick: It feels untouched while being both comfortable and convenient. In terms of convenience, Delta has begun offering nonstop routes from Atlanta and New York, making St. Kitts more accessible than many of its Caribbean peers.”
“We are incredibly proud to have both islands awarded honors by two very prestigious US media outlets like CNN and Bloomberg,” notes Premier Mark A.G. Brantley. “We know that our island treasures offer unparalleled experiences for travelers and we are extremely pleased that the word continues to spread. We look forward to a very successful year.”
