The St Kitts and Nevis international Forward Romaine Sawyer has now penned a new deal until the end of 2015/16 season with Walsall FC

The 22-year-old joined the Saddlers from West Brom last summer after a successful loan spell and has impressed during his first full season at the Banks’s Stadium, scoring seven goals in 48 appearances. “It’s been an extremely productive season for Romaine,” Walsall manager Dean Smith told the club’s official website. “I believe that he is a player with a lot of potential who has a big role to play in the future of this club. “This has been his first full season in senior football and he has certainly showed enough to warrant this new deal. “It’s been a long, hard season for him and he has made good progress. I expect him to continue going from strength to strength and I am delighted that he has signed this new deal.”

Sawyers rarely played under Dean Smith ,  but Smith saw enough of him to lure him back to The Club  on a full term deal in summer of 2013.

During this season the former Albion trainee has played more times for the Saddlers but will feel his time hasnt been as proactive as he would have wished.
