St.Kitts-Nevis Observer Newspaper (July 29th 2015):-Stakeholders in the St. Kitts-Nevis Citizenship By Investment program will be holding a consultation session tomorrow, Thursday (July 29).
The Observer understands that stakeholders include agents, attorneys, private sector entities, representatives from financial institutions, and representatives from related government agencies.
The consultation will take place at the OTI and among those making opening statements will be Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris, who is responsible for the CBI program.
Discussions among CBI stakeholders, however, will be a closed session.
The government has committed to adopting a more collaborative approach as they overhaul the CBI program with a view to enhancing its due diligence and other aspects of the program.
Attorney General Hon. Vincent Byron describe the consultation as a “major conference” where over 100 service providers, developers, and others involved in the CBI program will dialogue.
He said they will discuss the way forward for the program to ensure its continuity.
