Universal Healthcare Commission Chairperson Ms Azilla Clarke

Director of Social Development Ms Azilla Clarke is set to be one of the Keynote Speakers at the

“Critical Mass Leadership & Development” conference  to be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center, 226 17th St., Rock Island, Illinois USA.

“Uncharted: Leading in a New Direction” will be the conference theme.

The  conference is expected to merge entrepreneurial innovation, political aspiration and moral imagination for the creation of global change agents. Attendees will be exposed to a world-class list of interdisciplinary, intergenerational and intercultural presentations and workshops, he said.

Other Keynote speakers will include Mayor Quentin Hart of Waterloo, Iowa; Dr. Kit Evans Ford, an international peace activist, entrepreneur and world religions professor; and retired Army Col. Burl Randolph Jr.

A luncheon keynote address will be given by the Rev. Conrad Tillard, known as “the hip-hop minister.” Rev. Tillard’s work has been featured nationally in magazines and newspapers such as Savoy, Vibe, Source, Esquire, XXL, Essence, Ebony, Time, Newsweek, the New York Times, Washington Post, Philadelphia Inquirer and the Los Angeles Times.

The conference will focus on three “intentionalities”. “Our speakers are millennials, Gen X-ers, and baby boomers.” They also represent “the education side of the house, the corporate world, entrepreneurial spirit, advocacy and faith,” said conference organizer Rev Ford.
