The Ministry of International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs in collaboration with the St. Kitts and Nevis Coalition of Service Industries (SKNCSI) Task Force, the Caribbean Network of Coalition of Service Industries (CNSC) and Caribbean Export will host the St. Kitts and Nevis Coalition of Service Industries (SKNCSI) Forum to be held on November 30th, 2015 starting at 8:30am at the St. Kitts and Nevis Marriott Resort under the theme: “Strategies for Services Export Growth and Competitiveness”.

With a GDP of USD $833.3 million in 2014, St. Kitts and Nevis Services Industries account for over 73% of GDP. The Forum is focused on developing key strategies to fostering the growth and competitiveness of the St. Kitts and Nevis Non-Tourism Services Sector with a focus on the following key sectors:

• Engineering and Architecture Services
• Construction Services
• ICT Services
• Professional Services i.e Management Consulting, offshore financial advisory services, Corporate Services, Legal and Accounting etc..
• Education Services
• Creative Services
• Health & Wellness Services

While the main target audience for this Forum is private sector service enterprises and associations, we envision active participation from other key stakeholders such as the public sector, academia and non-governmental institutions. This diversified pool of participants will ensure that the discourse of the forum is all-encompassing.

This Forum will provide the opportunity for the private sector participants in the services (non-tourism) industry to share experiences and learn from the real regional success stories that will be showcased during the event.

This interactive Forum is geared to enlighten key stakeholders on the intrinsic value of the Service Coalitions to promote the competitiveness of services industries by supporting the domestic regulatory framework; by encouraging the fostering of linkages with Foreign Direct Investment and in supporting local services export capacity and promotion through value networks.

The overall objective of the Forum is for Service Providers and Associations to give input to chart a pragmatic strategic direction for the St. Kitts and Nevis Coalition of Service Industries (SKNCSI) and the development of the Services sector as a key driver of economic growth and development, job creation and foreign exchange earner.

The Forum is funded by the European Union through Caribbean Export.
