The Consumer Affairs Department of St Kitts and Nevis announced the schedule of the week of activities for the celebration of World Consumer Rights Day

St Kitts and Nevis: The Consumer Affairs Department of St Kitts and Nevis announced the schedule of the week of activities for the celebration of World Consumer Rights Day under the theme- “Empowering Consumers Through Clean Energy Transitions”. The week of activities is carded from March 12, 2023, to March 17, 2023.

ON SUNDAY, MARCH 12, 2023:  On this day, the Consumer Affairs Department will host one activity which is as follows:

  • Event name: There will be Praise and Worship
  • Venue: Roman Catholic Church at 8:30 am
  • Activity: Minister’s Speech (Minister of Foreign Affairs Denzil Douglas will deliver the speech)
  • The worship and the speech will be aired live on ZIZ.

ON MONDAY, MARCH 13, 2023: The consumer affairs department will host the following activity on this day:

  • There will be Radio Programs
  • The programs will be telecasted on ZIZ 10:15-10:45 am, Freedom FM 10:00-10:30 am and Winn FM 11:00-12:00 pm

ON TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2023: The activity will be as follows:

  • Event name: Launch of “Consumer Education for Kids” Program
  • Venues are: St. Pauls Primary School, Saddlers Primary School, Dr William Connor Primary School

ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 15, 2023: The activity will be as follows:

  • Charleton Edwards Memorial CAD
  • Primary School Quiz FINALS
  • CUNA Caribbean Conference Center at 5 pm

ON THURSDAY, MARCH 16, 2023: The consumer rights department will host the following activities:

  • Business Appreciation Pop-up
  • Distribution of Certificates of Appreciation

ON FRIDAY, MARCH 17, 2023: The activities are as follows:

  • Team Building Event
  • Caribelle Batik

he Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis- Denzil Douglas shared the update on his social media and stated that in recognition of World Consumer Rights Day, which is annually celebrated on 15th March, the Consumer Affairs Department has scheduled a Week of Activities which will be centred around this years’ theme “Empowering Consumers Through Clean Energy Transitions”.
