PM at Church of God Cayon

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, November 4, 2017 (PLP PR Media Inc.)  — Prime Minister and Political Leader of the Peoples Labour Party (PLP) Dr the Hon Timothy Harris is inviting all people of goodwill to join him and the leadership and membership of the PLP as they worship at the Calvary Baptist Church in Sandy Point, tomorrow Sunday November 5.

Dr Harris, who is also the Minister of National Security, is a well-known God-fearing person who joins citizens and residents of the Federation in their various churches on a regular basis.

While he has attended the Sandy Point-based church that is situated at the foot of Brimstone Hill Road as the Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, on Sunday November 5 he will be attending the church in his capacity as the National Political Leader of the PLP, as he has been to the same church on a number of different occasions.

Assistant Pastor, Collin Mulley, of the Calvary Baptist told this media that the service will begin at precisely 10:00 am and the guest speaker will be Bishop Ron Collins.

“Prime Minister Harris is not a stranger to our church as he has been there more than once,” said Pastor Mulley. “We will be happy to see him another time, and everyone is welcome to our church.”

Chairman of Constituency Number Five Branch of the Peoples Labour Party (PLP) Mr Glenville Mills, praised Rev Calvin Hazel of the Calvary Baptist Church for the tremendous work his church is doing not only for the benefit of Sandy Point but for country as a whole.

“The church has generated stability in many of our young people’s lives,” noted Mr Mills. “In many of our communities the church has enhanced many young people many of whom have become lawyers, doctors, teachers etc. If this church continues under the leadership of Dr Calvin Hazel, it could leave not only a better Constituency Number Five but a better St. Kitts and Nevis.”

He explained that as the chairperson for the PLP Constituency Number Five Branch, he made the connection with the church to have the church service there tomorrow Sunday November 5. He added that they have selected somebody from Constituency Number Five to do a special selection.

“We have Ms Dawn Archibald who is no stranger as she is one of the better singers in St. Kitts and Nevis,” observed Mr Mills. “This is the first time as a PLP Constituency Branch we are having a church service there, and I am encouraging other people to join us for this auspicious occasion when we join our Prime Minister to worship the Lord.”

The church service in Constituency Number Five comes on the heels of a hugely successful health walk held on Saturday November 4 where health-conscious enthusiasts from around the island joined Prime Minister Harris as they walked from the Saddlers Bus Stop to the ATM in St. Paul’s, in Constituency Number Six.
