On Saturday May 20, 2017, family, friends and well wishers journeyed from far and near to share in the 90th birthday celebration of Mrs. Lucille Tyson, affectionately known as “Auntie.”

For nine decades, this humble woman successfully raised 11 children and two adopted children, cared for numerous grandchildren, and in essence has been the designated Matriarch in her beloved family, all while being a caring and loving wife and extending a hand of friendship and generosity to her neighbors.

The celebration of appreciation for Mrs. Tyson’s life was marked by a  Birthday BBQ gathering with family and friends who engaged in conversation with Mrs. Tyson, as well as moments of reminiscing about the good old days.  The celebration was also an opportunity for family members residing abroad to unite with their loved ones in celebration of Mrs. Tyson’s special day.
