With pomp, camaraderie and enthusiasm the pristine village of Jessups welcomed a Libran goddess to its dynamic community on 25th September, 1999. Miss Anastasia Cush is the proud representative of the 36-square mile subdued, island paradise widely referred to as the queen of the Caribbean, Nevis.

miss-nevis-anastasia-cush-4The seventeen-year-old teen beauty and scholar is a recent graduate of the astute and highly celebrated Charlestown Secondary School. Her commitment to excellence and determination to achieve success in her academic endeavors guided her decision to attend the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in Basseterre, St. Kitts to pursue an Associate Degree in Hospitality.

While at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, Cush is ushering in her dream of pursuing a career as a flight attendant. Though it may not be a common career path in St. Kitts and Nevis Cush is committed to achieving this goal as she enjoys interacting with different personalities. For Cush, each day working as a flight attendant will bring a different learning experience that will advance her intellect, personality and make her a well-rounded individual.

As an ardent lover of the performing arts Anastasia developed a fervent passion for dance. Anastasia’s infatuation with dance began when she joined her first dance group at the delicate age of three. Since then she has devoted most of her life to dance as she advanced to different dance groups. Holding steadfast to her love for the arts, Cush is a member of the highly acclaimed CFBC Dance Ensemble. Anastasia believes that dance allows one to express and free one’s mind and body through its hidden language of the soul.

As a Nevisian patriot, Anastasia is esteemed to be her country’s ambassador and looks forward to showcasing Nevisian exuberance and amicability and welcoming the delegates of the neighboring islands to the 37th Annual Miss Hayne Smith Caribbean Talent Teen Pageant.
