Kittitian Renee Stevens has been announced as the General Manager of the Newly constructed Best Western Hotel in Lacombe Alberta, Canada. The hotel is schedule to open next month August 2015.
Ms Stevens career in the Hospitality Industry began in 2005 when she was employed at the St. Kitts Marriott resort as a concierge agent . She later transferred to Canada under the foreign worker programme at the Edmonton Marriott Resort in October 2007 as a guest services agent. In 2008 Stevens won employee of the month for the hotel and was later nominated for the prestigious Edmonton Tourism department hospitality award hosted by the that same year. She was the first Kittitian nominated for this award. The ambitious Stevens continued to excel and later that year was promoted to certified new hire trainer where she trained all new hires for the front office department.
The Sandy Point born Stevens was later promoted to Manager on duty at the Edmonton Marriott Resort. In December 2012 Stevens moved to the Westin Edmonton Hotel the largest Hotel in the Edmonton area as their Guest Services Manager. After just 3 months she was invited by the ownership team of the Marriott Courtyard west to join their team as the Front Office Manager. After two years at the Marriott Courtyard I was offered a Managerial position at the Sutton Luxury Brand Hotel in Downtown Edmonton where I worked for the last 6 months.
Stevens will now take the top position at the newly constructed Best Western Hotel in Lacombe Albertha when she takes up her new post as Hotel General Manager .
Stevens also just recently opened her own immigration agency by the name of Lavalle` Immigration agency name given from Lavalle Sandy Point where she spent most of her formative years under the guidance of her grandmother . She also recently launched Lavallee travel agency.
