St.Kitts, Basseterre, July18, 2019 – For over six decades, the St. Christopher Children’s Home has been providing shelter, food, clothing, healthcare, and education to children in need.

Its major fundraising activity designed to foster community involvement in the home’s upkeep is the Annual Family 2k Walk and 5k Run, now in its tenth year and which is being hosted in October this year.  The home recently received additional financial support of its efforts from CIBC FirstCaribbean as the bank continues to act on its mandate to enrich the lives of the community it serves.

Human Resource Support Officer, Jewel Wattley, presented the sponsorship cheque of EC $5000.00 to Kym Taylor, a representative of the home. MsWattley stated that CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank is proud to provide ongoing support to the St. Christopher Children’s Home. She added, “We are committed to the development of youth within the community and will strive to do our part in ensuring that the children of this country are given the opportunities they deserve.”

In receiving the cheque, Ms. Taylor thanked CIBC FirstCaribbean International, on behalf of the Board, staff and residents of the Home, for the bank’s invaluable contribution.

All donations will be used to meet its operating expenses and maintain the vital service it provides to the nation’s underprivileged youth.
